About Jon Henry, MD
“Northeastern Wisconsin is and always will be home” for Dr. Jon Henry, who’s from Suamico, just north of Green Bay.
“There’s no better place to live and raise a family. I enjoy the people, the hard-work ethic, the culture, nature and the varying seasons.”
Dr. Henry went into medicine because of early interests in sports and woodworking – passions he pursues to this day.
“These interests fueled a desire to use my mind and hands for helping people overcome orthopedic problems,” he says.
Dr. Henry earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He then served his orthopedic surgery residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and received advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at The Ohio State University.
From 1996 to 2008, he served in the Army Reserve Medical Corps, including two combat deployments to Afghanistan and one to Iraq. Working from a combat support hospital, he treated soldiers and civilians with injuries to their extremities.
Dr. Henry has taught orthopedic surgeons from around the world techniques related to shoulder and hip arthroscopy, knee ligament reconstruction and cartilage restoration.
His approach to patient care is straightforward: “Individualized, caring and comprehensive within my areas of expertise. My goal is to help individuals restore their desired quality of life.”
