How CoolSculpting works

The science behind the CoolSculpting procedure is based on cryolipolysis, or the idea that cold temperatures can target fat cells without damaging the skin or surrounding tissue.

Treated cells are frozen and then die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. The results are long term because treated fat cells are gone for good.

We will create an individualized plan tailored to your specific goals. The length of your treatment varies depending on the number of areas being treated. Typically, the treatment lasts 35 to 60 minutes.

Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?

Yes. The procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Patients often return to work the same day the treatment is completed.

Is CoolSculpting painful?

The CoolSculpting process is not painful, but the first few minutes may be uncomfortable. Within five minutes, most patients are comfortable enough to talk on the phone, read, or even nap.
