KAUKAUNA – Dr. Ryan Woods, a non-operative sports medicine physician with Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic, will be providing services to people of all ages at Aurora BayCare Health Center in Kaukauna starting Monday, February 14.
He specializes in regenerative medicine, also known as orthobiologics. These non-surgical treatments tap into the body’s ability to initiate a healing response to acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, including arthritis in the joints and new or existing tendon and ligament injuries. These treatments include platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate.
He also will offer a wide range of orthopedic procedures that include diagnostic ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, Tenex procedures and electromyography (EMG) tests.
Woods earned his medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. He was fellowship trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation sports medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in physical medicine and rehabilitation and in sports medicine.
Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic now has five fellowship-trained physicians serving Kaukauna, including Dr. Harold J. Schock, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine; Dr. Brian J. Klika, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery; Dr. Kirk Dimitris, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement; and Brandon M. Scharer, a podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle surgery.
