MANITOWOC – Starting in February, Dr. Ryan Woods, a non-operative sports medicine physician, will begin providing care to Orthopedics & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic patients in Manitowoc.
He specializes in regenerative medicine, also known as orthobiologics. These non-surgical treatments tap into the body’s ability to initiate a healing response to acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, including arthritis in the joints and new or existing tendon and ligament injuries.
These treatments include platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow aspirate concentrate.
Woods earned his medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. He was fellowship trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation sports medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota.
Woods is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in physical medicine and rehabilitation and in sports medicine.
